Every thread leads somewhere if you follow it long enough. “Thread Count” confronts the destruction that fast fashion has on people and the environment. A Ghostly Reaper floats above a garment factory intertwined with a cloth texture. The figure shows body parts covered by a sheet exemplifying the way the garment industry tries to cover up the poor working conditions for the garment workers. The figure also brings about apocalyptic damage by creating more fast fashion garments that’ll soon be trashed.
